Laser engraving on can be done on a range of plastic with different engraving effect. Engraving on raw plastic gives it a special “depth” effect while for coated plastic, the coat would be etched off by the laser revealing the material underneath as the engraving effect. Engraving on clear acrylic plastic will produces a “frosted” effect much similar to glass engraving.
